Hey thanks for the kind words--some where around here...? Right? All I can recall is "Oro Valley" as in you're visiting...a beautiful place, assuming you're close to the hills, which is hard to be anything but thereabouts. Off to the doc, and then various other usual appts this week (it's my "big" week for such things), but do appreciate your thoughts and words.

Good luck with the docs Will. I've been in and out of docs and hospitals 1 to 3 times a week for over a year now - with over 200 blood tests taken and still no diagnosis . . . Black Peter has gotten more playing time over the last two years than the last 40. Take care and be well, bill

Thanks Sean, the road has been long, and frustrating is only part of it. That's why I've had the time to peruse (lurk) this forum so thoroughly over the last year and then some. The chatter here has been informative, entertaining and at times, engaging - a good distraction from all of the static in my attic. Glad I found this place, it's been good therapy for this GD fan of 42 years.

Re: I know I may be a horrible person, but does this strike anyone esle as morbidly hilarious? |
Damn, we are two birds of an unfortunate feather then...hope that you get that sorted out; the Mayo Clinic, though very expensive, is THE place to seek when many a doc's been stumped. My old man, rest his weary soul, landed there after about five yrs of misdiagnoses, etc., etc.; they had it sorted out in a couple of days. Unfortunately, it was very bad news, but he passed quickly, and relatively painlessly. Any chance you can check in sometime?
On the other hand, ALL of my various ailments have been self evident from the get go: "ah, I see here from your MRI you have NO disk between L-5 and S-1...oh...yes, you aren't standing up as I read this...go ahead, make yourself comfortable on the floor"...it gets better from there, but I'd only scare the beejeebers outta the males around, and disturb the ladies with descriptions of the dark nether regions of the male urogenital tract if I continue, so I'll stop now.
Aren't you all glad I stopped talking about the DEAD?

Re: I know I may be a horrible person, but does this strike anyone esle as morbidly hilarious? |
Brothers in pain, my friend. My crushed L3 and herniated L4 don't even count in my current maladies. After years of 'fevers of unknown origin', I now have some debilitating structural issues - muscles, bones and nerves - that my team of eight docs cannot find the source - and one is a Mayo specialist. I'm about two months away from them referring me to the Mayo. Sorry to hear about your father - going painlessly is what one can hope for. Good luck with your situations . . . be well.
